I design the places where brands become physical: spaces and objects people can walk through, touch, and remember.
I trained as an industrial designer and spent almost a decade designing façades at Arup. For the fifteen years since, I’ve led brand experience at Autodesk and Procore, as both creative lead and hands-on designer. That work ranged from the Autodesk Gallery to flagship events for 10,000 people. I set the direction and designed much of it myself, sketching, modeling and detailing, while leading the designers, filmmakers and agency partners who brought it to life.
Now, through Wykes Design, I work directly with companies and agencies, whether that’s a single exhibit or a full program.

Architecture
I spent almost a decade as a Façade Designer at Arup, the global engineering and design firm, developing bespoke building envelopes for landmark architecture around the world.


My job was to turn an architect’s vision into something that could be engineered, manufactured, and installed. That meant defining the materials, systems, and details, and holding the design intent through the realities of performance, cost, and production.

Autodesk GalleryOne Market St., San Francisco


The Autodesk Gallery is the company’s 10,000 sq. ft. flagship visitor center, where its product and brand stories come to life. After a decade it was due for a radical refresh.


As in-house brand experience lead, I owned the complete reimagining of the space, a $20M project. I set the creative direction and led three partner firms through delivery: Fuseproject, Lundberg Design, and NGX. I also kept internal stakeholders aligned from concept to opening.


The narrative runs across three time horizons: Now, Next, and Future. Each customer exhibit is a proof point in that story, inviting visitors to interact with, explore, and immerse themselves in what technology makes possible for Autodesk’s customers.

Installations, pop-ups, and interactive environments, along with the film, motion, and digital work around them, all directed as one story. When what people see online matches what they walk into, the story sinks in deeper, feels relevant, and earns their trust.

At Procore I led a nine-person Brand Experience team of designers and film and motion makers, plus agency and production partners, with initiative budgets up to $500K. At Autodesk I delivered work from the Autodesk Gallery to Autodesk University, across North America, EMEA, and MENA.

Brand Film
The primary brand-level ad for Procore’s 2026 campaign, and the clearest statement of where they are heading: from construction software to an AI company.


I directed the project, leading my in-house film team, alongside agency partner Bonfire Labs. I set the brief to align with the company’s business goals, then made sure the creative carried the right narrative through to the final cut.


The central challenge was balance: showing what AI makes possible without losing sight of the people who build. The film keeps both in view, with technology in service of the crew, not the other way round.

Industrial Design
Objects people use, wear and move around: furniture, exhibit fixtures, information kiosks, electronics and outdoor gear. I take each one from first sketch through detail design and into production.

My training in Product Design Engineering taught me to design for how things actually get made: materials, tolerances, manufacturing, assembly and cost. That grounding shaped everything that followed, from landmark façades at Arup to exhibits and environments. I still work that way, whether I’m modeling and prototyping myself or directing designers, engineers and fabricators through to the finished build.

The goal is always the same: something that works, feels good to use, and can be made well.

  DatumA Saddle Memory Collar
  A solid brass seatpost collar that remembers your saddle height. Take the post out for shipping, a service or a friend’s ride, and finding that height again takes time and guesswork. With Datum, slide the post back in until it stops, and the saddle is exactly where it was.

    Small numbers that matter
    
      Riders find their saddle height over many rides, a few millimetres at a time, then lose it the moment the seatpost comes out. A strip of tape or a scratch on the post marks the spot, but neither is precise, and neither looks like it belongs on a good bicycle.
      The collar sits on the seatpost, right above the frame’s seat clamp. Height is held by the post stopping against it. The pointed prow carries the single clamping bolt and sits in line with the top tube.

    One material, made to last
    
      I wanted an object that ages with the bicycle rather than wearing out. Every part is solid lead-free brass, machined from bar with the toolpath left visible or lost-wax cast, then allowed to patina in the same way a leather saddle darkens with use. All the fasteners are blackened stainless steel, so the few working parts read clearly against the brass.
      The collar is the product. Behind it is a small dovetail dock that takes one optional add-on at a time, locked by a single M3 set screw that seats in a dimple in the collar. Nothing on the dock needs a battery.

      The same geometry that drives the drawings and renders, live in the browser. Swap the add-ons, open the hinge, or pull the fender apart into its layers.
    
    
    Two add-ons, one dock
    
      I kept the add-ons small and light, things a rider would leave on all year. The reflector pod is a turned brass disc around a standard 1¼ inch red reflector. The fender is a hand-planished brass blade in the traditional hammered style, polished to a mirror.
      The fender’s head is a compact brass node with three tapered struts that run parallel to the seatpost up to a brass arch. The blade bolts down onto the arch through a waxed-leather strip, with four blackened-stainless shoulder bolts on leather washers. The leather cushions the thin polished blade, stops it rattling or fretting against the arch, and protects the finish; the bolt shoulders set exactly how hard it is squeezed.

    ProcessDrawn from one model
    
      I built the geometry as a parametric model in Python, so one set of numbers drives everything on this page: the engineering drawings, the interactive viewer and the Blender scenes. Changing a seatpost size or a wall thickness updates all of them together.
      I checked the hinge for clearance through its full 90° swing, sized the dock so the add-ons stay put under one screw, drew the fender head as a single lost-wax casting with only its fits machined, and laid the fender blade out flat for laser cutting before it is hammered, polished and rolled.
